ZRA customs, step by step

The clearing process, and where we come in.

Zambian customs runs on the Revenue Authority's ASYCUDA World system, and it rewards getting things right before the truck arrives. Here is what it takes, and what we handle for you.

Register & appoint

Your goods need a TPIN and a licensed clearing agent appointed in ASYCUDA World. We arrange the agent and the authorisation.

Pre-clear

We lodge your declaration and documents in ASYCUDA World before the truck reaches the border, so it clears fast instead of joining the queue.

Classify & value

The correct HS tariff code and customs value, so ZRA does not reassess the entry or apply penalties.

Assess & pay

ZRA calculates customs duty and VAT on the landed value. We manage the assessment and settle through approved banks.

Inspect & release

We handle any physical inspection and secure the release order, then your cargo moves on to its destination.
